Introduction to Persuasive Writing

Our Objective:  Brainstorm ideas for our persuasive letter.



When you write a persuasive letter you need to find a topic that you really care about.  We write persuasive letters to try to convince someone to agree with our point of view.  If you choose a topic that you don't care about you will not be as convincing.

On the board below, brainstorm some ideas by clicking in an empty space and brainstorming something that you really care about.  Once you have shared a few of your ideas, read some other ideas.  Then, open the google doc I shared with you called, "Persuasive Writing T-Chart" and choose some of the topics below, or add more of your own and write your ideas on the chart.
